This Is The New That.

The linked article CLAIMS that 38 Is The New 50, but the author has it backwards. I know a thing or two about Things That Are The New Other Things, including Ages That Are The New Other Ages, and from the context, it is clear that the author means that 50 Is The New 38. And the "38 is new 52" part is just phrased all wrong, in addition to being backwards.
